New Mexico Analysis Seminar Participants
The New Mexico Analysis Seminar will tentatively begin at 1 pm and end around 8 pm, with a break for room check-in. Please let us know if you plan to arrive on Saturday, May 20. We will need to make shared hotel arrangements since campus housing does not open until Sunday, May 21.
The CBMS conference will tentatively begin Monday, May 22 at 9 am and end no later than noon (possibly by 11) on Friday, May 26. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly.
Participants taking flights should fly to El Paso Airport, which is a one-hour drive from NMSU.
Options for ground travel to NMSU are the Las Cruces Shuttle or a car rental, Kayak
For registered participants renting a car, we will plan to reimburse up to $100, or up to $200 for persons sharing a rental. IMPORTANT: We will not reimburse fees for insurance, extra drivers, or other add-ons. Please check with your insurance company or credit card company in advance to see if you are covered for a vehicle rental.
If you are taking the shuttle with other conference attendees, please ask for a companion rate.
Paid accommodations and board will be provided in NMSU campus housing for those indicating willingness to stay on campus. Housing includes single rooms with a shared ensuite.
Check in time on Sunday is restricted to 4-6 pm. Please let us know if you will arrive late Sunday.
Participants will have an opportunity to specify a preferred suite-mate when registering.
For those staying on campus, meals will also be provided at Taos Restaurant
Participants who wish to stay off campus should make their own arrangements. Sleep Inn is located within walking distance to campus, approximate $80/night. The Ramada is a 1.4 mile walk to Science Hall, about $80/night. The Hilton Garden Inn is newer, is a 1.7 mile walk from Science Hall, about $120/night. The Hotel Encanto is a ten minute drive, about $100/night. More choices are available within a ten minute drive.
