“Mathematically Connected Communities" is a grant project

joint between our department, the College of Education, and a number

of partner K12 school districts. Along with other members of our

department, I've been working with MCC for several years now.

I will describe some ways in which I think that advanced mathematical

knowledge can aid in the improvement of K12 education. There will

be a number of specific examples.
