Within the last five years, division algebras have emerged as

the perfect tool for coding for wireless communication with multiple

antennas. In this talk we will describe some key features of division

algebras and then describe how they are applied to wireless

communication. Along the way, we will touch on issues of algebraic

number theory that arise in this application.
