Teaching  |  Research  |  Curriculum Vitæ | Topology Seminar

I am an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University, in Las Cruces. Previously I was a postdoctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University. I completed my Ph.D. at Stanford University in 2007, and my advisor was Gunnar Carlsson.

This picture was taken at Oberwolfach.

Research Interests: Algebraic Topology, Algebraic K-theory, Yang-Mills theory.
I use techniques from K-theory, homotopy theory, and differential geometry to study representation spaces of infinite discrete groups. I am especially interested in analogues of the Atiyah-Segal theorem, relating these spaces to complex K-theory. I also study various aspects of Yang-Mills theory and algebraic K-theory, including assembly maps for K-theory of group rings.

I organize the topology seminar at NMSU. You can view the schedule here.
